Firefox supports `getDisplayMedia` — Screendog uses it directly without an add-on. Recording works the same as in Chrome or Edge, and every recording gets a transcript, AI notes, and a share link.
No add-on required
Firefox's built-in Screen Capture API does the work. There is no XPI to install, no Mozilla review queue, no add-on update prompts. You can also upload a video file for transcription.
Codec notes
Firefox produces VP8 or VP9 WebM depending on system codecs. Screendog's player plays these formats inline on the share page, and the transcript and notes sit right alongside the video.
