A browser-based screen recorder. Nothing to install.
The browser already has a Screen Capture API. Most recording tools wrap it in a Chrome extension or a desktop app for no good reason. Screendog uses the API directly from a webpage — then transcribes every recording and sorts it into a folder.
Browsers we support
Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Arc, Opera — anywhere the Screen Capture API exists. Mobile Safari and mobile Chrome do not expose the API, so recording on phones is not supported yet (you can still watch shared recordings on mobile).
Why this matters
No extension means no security review, no install rollout, no "please update the extension" messages. New hires record their first walkthrough on day one without IT involvement — or upload a video they already have.
