Screendog started with a familiar moment: a bug report arrives as a long screen recording, and the engineer who has to fix it scrubs back and forth hunting for the ten seconds that matter. The video has the answer — buried.

So Screendog treats the recording as raw material, not the product. Every video — recorded in the browser or uploaded — comes back with a Whisper transcript, AI-written notes, and a folder to live in. Teammates skim the transcript, jump to the moment they need, or read the notes without pressing play at all.

What we believe

Recording should need zero installs — no extension, no desktop app. Watching should need zero accounts — a share link is enough. And a video nobody can search is a video nobody will use.

How it's built

Screendog runs entirely in the browser on the native Screen Capture API. Recordings are stored privately in cloud object storage, transcription runs through OpenAI Whisper, and payments go through Stripe. You can delete any recording — or your whole account — at any time.
